We are making the difficult decision to rehome our German shepherd.
Trying to keep this short, as we can get into more about him, why we are rehoming, ect with promising responses.
He is extremely smart, loyal, happy, crate trained, protective, very trainable, high energy with a great disposition.
He has zero resource guarding, loves good natured dogs, does well with older children (small children he can accidently knock down playing) does well with our cats.
He is also quite a beautiful dog, parents health tested, pure bred Czech shepherd, and we have his lineage.
We will only consider families with larger fenced in yards and preference to those with land/acreage, as he needs a large space to run.
We could see him enjoying living on a farm, though he is not a farmhand dog and has not been around chickens.
We will be doing a home visit with any possible adopters.
He can be walked with a very strong person, but he enjoys playing outside far more.
He does love other dogs as long as they are good tempered and confident.
When other dogs bully him a lot he will tolerate to a point then stand his ground (no aggression), while other dogs and him become best friends right away.
We want him to go to a loving family without small children because of his size.
If this sounds of interest and you meet the home requirements please reach out, small rehoming fee does apply.
His food costs around 150 a month as well.
Will provide photos and videos to thoughtful replies.
If interested in the wonderful dog please reply with your home situation, training methods, and working line dog experience.
He is a protective breed, we are only seeking experienced families who can read them and train them.
And finally, he is a working line Czech shepherd, massive difference in both body type and personality to the typical American shepherd
usually seen.
We will be taking our time in this process.
