Program Summary:
The Independent Financial (IF) Internship Program is a 12-week paid program offering current students an opportunity to gain professional skills working for a regional community bank.
This program is designed to provide interns with professional development opportunities, a one-on-one mentoring experience, and the chance to make a lasting impact on the communities IF serves.

Program Tracks:
To help students understand the different career options available in the banking industry, Independent Financial offers several internship program tracks.
Each program track offers positions in departments across the Bank with a plethora of learning opportunities.
Students can apply for any program track based on their interest; throughout the recruitment process the Talent Acquisition team will work directly with students to determine what opportunity will best fit the students’ skills, degree program, and long-term career goals.
Internship Expectations:
Throughout the summer program interns are expected to;
Understand the goals and tasks assigned; produce satisfactory results by meeting and sometimes exceeding expectations.
Commit to being engaged with your department’s goals, be dependable, and responsive.

Intern Responsibilities:
Attend intern professional development events covering relevant business units and topics presented by department leaders.
Develop business, financial, and analytical skills needed for future career opportunities.
Complete assigned online compliance and business professional trainings.
Prepare and present a final presentation over your internship experience, demonstrating knowledge and skills gained throughout the program.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent education certificate (GED).
Must be currently enrolled in college degree program majoring in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Information Technology, Marketing or a related field.
At least 18 years of age.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills (both written and verbal).
Computer proficiency with working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite applications.
Available to work program dates (May 20th - August 10th, 2024; Mon- Fri approx.
8AM-5PM).

Intern (Trainee)
In accordance with Colorado law: Colorado pay for this position is anticipated to be between $17.
98 - $25.
96 hourly, actual offers to be determined based on applicant’s skills, experience and education.
